Meet… (Dr.) Randa

Tell us a little about your role and key activities:
 I am a general dentist, providing dental services to our patients. I am also the president of Huron Dental.

What do you like best about your employer or job?
My job is very rewarding, as it takes patients out of pain, in cases where they are hurting. It also restores smiles to those who were not smiling due their unhappiness with their teeth looks, and brings confidence back to them. 

Have you ever left the region for work/career or thought about leaving? If yes, what brought you back to St. Clair County or keeps you in the region? No, but I am not originally from here. I went to Tufts dental school in Boston, and came to St. Clair County in 1994. We chose St Clair County because it felt friendly and homey, a perfect place to raise a family.

Have you ever left the region for work/career or thought about leaving?  If yes, what brought you back to St. Clair County or keeps you in the region?
No. I have been here since 1994.

What is your favorite thing about living and/or working in St. Clair County?
I love the friendliness and caring attitudes of people here. I love the water and all the beauty and activities it offers in the summer. I also loved raising our kids here, and most importantly, I love how you can get involved in community organizations when you feel the passion towards one or more. 

What recent changes or improvements in St. Clair County are you most happy about?
There is a definite new energy in St. Clair county, making our downtown and shores more attractive to live and play here. The new restaurants, hotels, and initiatives in the area are all great positive changes.
