Michigan Workforce Training Center Equipment Grant Program

Grant Program Overview
In an effort to continue to support businesses, the State of Michigan is providing equipment grants for employer-driven workforce training programs. This program will pay grant awardees up to $90,000 for the purchase of new equipment used in workforce training.
Workforce training includes, but is not limited to:
Talent enhancement
Increasing worker productivity
Development of workforce skills
Leadership and management training
Worker retention
For example, if you need a specific piece of equipment, software, or technology for workforce training, you can apply to this grant program to offset the purchase cost.
Grant Criteria
To be eligible for funding under the Program, qualified training providers must meet the following criteria:
A proprietary school licensed under the proprietary schools act
A registered United States Department of Labor joint apprenticeship training center
A vendor that provides training for the operation of equipment or systems for which the vendor is the provider
A qualified employer
A qualified employer means an employer that has a physical presence in this state
Application
The application window to apply for grant funds is open until Wednesday. January 19, 2022 at 5:00 pm.
