Responsibilities of Position:
- Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of all assigned staff, including indirect as needed.
- Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding methods and procedures in assigned area.
- Prepares written reports concerning assigned aspect of work.
- Manages day-to-day departmental operation, assigns people to the appropriate jobs, authorizes overtime and controls cost.
- Acts as a liaison with other departments.
- Performs assignments given by Operations Manager.
- Capable of making sound decisions and set job priorities.
- Set machine and maintenance repair priorities.
- Assure good safety and housekeeping practices are being followed.
- Assure production requirements are met, including logging information as required.
- Perform daily audits
- Responsible for employee training, developing and evaluating performance.
- Discipline employees as required based on established policies and procedures.
- Hold regular shift meetings with employees.
