A Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring and ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards by designing and implementing quality control systems, conducting audits, analyzing data, identifying quality issues, and recommending corrective actions to maintain product quality and compliance with industry regulations; they work across the production process to identify and resolve potential quality problems before they occur. Deal direct with customers and all cross-functional PTM Corp launch teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
- Ensures products adhere to company and industry quality standards.
- Brainstorms ideas to create solutions for identified problems.
- Supplier change requests using customer formats.
- PPAP priority tracking for all launch parts and communicate with quality launch team
- Autoliv SQP/LIS activities for PPAP, by creating documentation & uploading into customer portal as required
- Adding new parts onto the gage timing sheet in Centro Database. Upload all gage documentations and designs into Centro Database
- Quote/design approval/build approval for all check fixtures to support product launch
- Perform APQP Plex Module for all new launch and engineering change parts
- Perform External TFC after kickoff
- Perform Internal TFC after kickoff
- Attend all internal Launch Kick-off meetings
