US Farathane is seeking an experienced Process Technician. Develops work measurement procedures and directs time-and-motion studies to promote efficient and economical utilization of personnel and facilities by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following. Must be able to do full rotation. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Directs or conducts observation and analysis of personnel and work procedures to determine time-and-motion requirements of job duties.
  • Acts as back up for the Supervisor position when needed.
  • Analyzes work study data and equipment specifications to establish time and production standards.
  • Applies mathematical analysis to determine validity and reliability of sampling and work study statistics.
  • Applies Continuous Improvement Methodology. 
  • Reviews out of control conditions and makes necessary machine adjustments to get process under control.  Document all process changes in change log. Fill out necessary work orders for machine and tool problems affecting part and conditions.  
  • Ensure that all products are running with a de coupled process and to the established cycle.
  • Responsible for tryouts of new and existing tools on off shifts. Sets perimeters, completes cycle sheet for document control.
  • Reviews defects with production manager daily taking necessary steps to prevent defects. 
  • Be an active member of IPPM & Scrap teams.
  • Submit required amount of cost savings ideas per year.
  • Must have Lock- Out Tag- Out training.  Must wear / use all PPE including hard hat.  Burn protection gauntlets must be worn anytime anyone opens a purge guard for any reason. 
  • Fill out daily process monitor sheet; react to out of control conditions.
  • Responds in a professional manner to any quality, efficiency, or safety concern.
  • All hi lo drivers must maintain safe driving speeds, have acute awareness of all surroundings, stop at all cross aisles. 
  • When using anything sharp, must wear cut gloves on both hands.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities- Acts as a supervisory assistant during routine activities and as the supervisor in case of absence.
  • Environmental Responsibilities- May be required to function as a member of Environmental response action team, Fire brigade, First Responder with specialized training as listed in the tracking system. Provides OJT to personnel where appropriate.
