Plant Accountant

Wage: $50,000- $60,000/ yearly
Job Responsibilities:
- Properly account for expenses in applicable period(s), as well as, preparing month end journal entries
- Prepare flash/forecast profit and loss statements for the respective business units
- Monitor monthly Plant Inventory levels and reconciles perpetual inventory accounts to the General Ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for Balance Sheet reviews
- Evaluate plant accounting and internal control systems
- Establish and/or recommends to management any major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies
- Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing any new processes
- Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earning based on past, present, and expected operations
- Direct preparation of annual budgets, review of budget proposals, and preparation of necessary supporting documentation and justification
- Prepare variance reporting reconciliation and explanation of manufacturing variances
- Develop standard costs and update annually.
- Assist with external and internal audits of company accounts
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies
