The Operations Technician I, under general supervision, supports the Operations Department with a variety of field duties within the assigned geographic area.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Correctly complete locating requests meeting timeline requirements.
- Complete proper documentation of locating requests.
- Coordinate 3rd party pipeline crossing inspections.
- Participate in the damage prevention awareness program.
- Maintain knowledge of Public Act 53 (Protection of underground facilities)
- Assists in other operational departments when required; which may include inspection, leak survey and collections.
- Assists in the maintenance of gas distribution systems.
- Adhere to company internal control procedures and financial processes.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field.
