This position supports Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Program Improvement Engineering by performing audits and inspections of injection‑molded products and associated documentation to verify conformance to specified requirements and production readiness. Responsibilities include conducting inventory audits of all Quality Hold locations; creating, maintaining, and tracking quality hold records for nonconforming material; performing gage repeatability and reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies to support measurement system effectiveness; processing inventory transactions in SAP; and communicating effectively with the molding department and all supporting functions to ensure timely resolution of quality concerns.

Critical & Vital Activities

  • Perform First Piece and Last Piece inspections per product control plans
  • Verify conformance of molded products to specifications
  • Inspect parts to established criteria and record results, including use of SPC
  • Perform measurements using approved gages for molded parts and mating components
  • Identify, segregate, and initiate disposition of nonconforming material
  • Coordinate containment activities with Quality and Program Improvement Engineering
  • Identify and control suspect, unidentified, and nonconforming product
  • Manage Quality Hold material in all hold locations, including updates in IQS, SAP, and related systems.

Associate's degree or equivalent experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, Microsoft Office, Metrology, SPC, inspection and testing experience, blueprint reading, Statistics and quality information systems.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.

Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one small group situations to customer, clients and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, percent, draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written and oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
