SEMCO - Laborer (Port Huron)
Position Summary
SEMCO is seeking a Laborer for our Port Huron team! Under general supervision, the Laborer works with and performs the same work as that of the "C" classification within the union. The Laborer may perform also other similar and related work within their classification.
This is a unionized role represented by the Utility Workers Local 473 union.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Operates a Company vehicle and is responsible for inventory, maintenance, and safe operation.
- Maintain a commercial driver’s license as required by the Company.
- Comply with standard safety precautions necessary to ensure the safety of others and prevent lost-time accidents.
- On occasion may be required to work in another department as needed.
- Perform minor painting, cleaning of vehicles, and janitorial duties.
- Operate and perform minor maintenance of power equipment for lawn care and snow removal.
- Other labor-related support duties as assigned.
