ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Update and maintain Engineering records, databases and files.
  • Create and manage reports, correspondence and other documents.
  • Prepare cost estimates and associated quotes for new and existing customer projects.
  • Summarize necessary resources required for projects based on program specifications. Considerations may include raw material, OSP’s, labor, equipment, tools and transportation estimations.
  • Submit quotes directly to the customer following approval by GGI Management Team.
  • Review and process engineering-level purchase orders to and from customer.
  • Work closely with Accounting and Program teams to ensure that accurate costs are being applied to quote worksheets.
  • Audit quoting process by comparing quoted costs with actual costs once in production.
  • Utilize IQMS and the engineering change notice (ECN) system.
  • Assist Engineering personnel with product evaluation, measurement and rework.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.
  • Assist with project planning, coordination and execution.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four-year degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop sound recommendations and solutions
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels with both internal and external customers.
  • Results driven and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication skills, capable of writing quotes, documenting performance and analyzing costs. Possesses ability to speak and write at appropriate level for intended audience.
  • General understanding of PIM industry, measurement methods and process requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work with minimal supervision both independently and as part of a team.
