About the Team: At ZF Axle Drives in Marysville, Michigan, our finance team consists of four dedicated professionals who work collaboratively to enhance profitability through cost management and control. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role as a business partner, overseeing costs and capital investments, maintaining accurate accounting records, and developing comprehensive plans for operating budgets and business expenses. This position also involves compiling detailed financial reports for cost audits and allocations. Our clean, climate-controlled facility specializes in manufacturing axle drives for Stellantis, ensuring a comfortable and efficient working environment.

What you can look forward to as a Financial Analyst:

  • Assist with closing journal entries, reconciliation, reporting, and both internal and external audits.  
  • Responsible to track and maintain accurate sales price and SPV analysis, and customer profitability reporting. 
  • Participate in the preparation of budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification. 
  • Work with production and other departments to track cost saving, process improvement, and provide other financial advice and supports.  
  • Communicate and educate other departments on the cost center spending and variances, change management tracking, and quoting.  
  • Advise management on operational adjustments based on detailed financial analysis.  
  • Work with other departments to improve inventory accuracy and accounting methods. Participate in all physical inventory/cycle counts.

Your profile as a Financial Analyst:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 2+ years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of ad-hoc financial analysis. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to influence and engage personnel and management at multiple levels within internal and external organizations.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP and plant accounting principles are preferred.
  • Manufacturing/Automotive Industry experience preferred.
