POSITION SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will be an expert team builder. You will utilize a blend of your leadership skills, personality and critical thinking to lead our teams to future successes. You will be a change agent for things like evolving technology, systems, processes, and equipment, to ensure rapid training, adoption and mastery in an ever-changing work environment.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise a large crew, working daily on diverse and unique projects
- Work in a fast-paced environment both in the field and office
- Collaborate with other highly motivated people, working together as a team
- Manage a team of kinetic learners, driving performance through coaching, career development and conflict resolution
- Resolve daily issues as they arise regarding team members and project delays
- Mentor employees, facilitate hiring and onboarding process and monitor new hires
- Communication liaison between team members and other managers
- Update and maintain waste approvals and manifests, Including RCRA, EPA 8700-22, etc.
- Maintain and organize Spill paperwork as needed, including EGLE reporting
- Camera report editing as needed
- Train to submit Miss Dig tickets, dispatch sheets and PTP’s as necessary
- Adhere to, enforce all safety standards and participate in our active safety culture
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient computer skills; working with various software, websites and programs
- Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote, Google Docs, Microsoft Team 365
- Ability to make sound business decisions, in a time sensitive manner, based both on current conditions and previous experiences.
- Able to effectively communicate across various forums including verbal, email, phone, text, messaging, fax and snail mail
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Must be comfortable with numbers – basic math
- OSHA 30, Hazwoper, CPR certifications preferred, trainer status a bonus
- Plan, conduct and track periodic safety conversations; Toolbox Talks, Safety Moments, etc.
- Follow instructions given both orally and/or in writing
- Ability to work independently, with accuracy and in accordance with company safety and quality standards
- Ability to communicate in English with other employees for the purpose of hazard recognition, problem solving, or other purposes
- Preferred Skills/Experiences
- CDL with driving experience
- Earthwork experience
- Trades or Labor based leadership experience.
- Experience with both Union and Non-Union Trades/Labor employment

Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies.
