Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform quality inspections to ensure product specifications are met.
Responsibilities
- Operate extrusion machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules.
- Monitor the extrusion process and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient materials handling and fabrication processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Document production data accurately for reporting purposes.
Skills
- Experience with forklift operation and materials handling in a warehouse environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurement calculations and material estimations.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency in production processes is a bonus but not required.
