Responsible for completion of specific conceptual and engineering related tasks assigned under the direct supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer in preparing scope for engineering project work
- Performs technical assignments related to engineering such as research, studies, design, calculations, quantity estimates, cost estimates, permit applications, construction specifications, bid documents and project funding applications
- Performs engineering reviews and prepares review letters on plans submitted to communities in which the Company is appointed as municipal engineer
- Attends meetings with clients and other Company-related functions
- Performs construction inspection duties as necessary
- Assists in performing survey duties when necessary
- Other duties as required
REQUIRED SKILLS (EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATION):
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering Degree in the appropriate discipline
- Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (Part 1)
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Graduate Engineer
- Leadership ability and supervisory skills
- The ability to satisfactorily complete assignments
- Competent with computer engineering software
PREFERRED SKILLS (EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATION):
- Competent in design software applications (i.e. Softdesk Civil 3D, Microstation, ESRI or similar)
- Competent with general engineering procedures and application of engineering principals
