EHS Compliance:

  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential safety and environmental hazards
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training programs to address identified risks
  • Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations
  • Manage hazardous materials and waste disposal processes to ensure proper handling and compliance
  • Complete required certifications to insource EHS compliance reporting and actions

Facilities Management

  • Oversee building maintenance and repair activities, including scheduling contractors and managing budgets
  • Manage facility space allocation, renovations, and construction projects
  • Monitor building systems like HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems
  • Ensure proper upkeep of facility grounds and landscaping
  • Coordinate facility-related services like cleaning, pest control, and security

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead and collaborate with other departments to identify and address EHS and facility concerns
  • Provide EHS training and awareness programs to employees at all levels
  • Communicate EHS policies and procedures effectively across the organization

Reporting and Analysis

  • Track key EHS metrics and performance indicators
  • Generate reports on compliance status, incident trends, and safety performance
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

Engage employees by encouraging them to report safety concerns

Prepare and maintain a master list of all documents related to the safety plan. This includes procedures, forms, and records. Regularly update and review these documents to ensure they are current

Develop and distribute documents that outline safe work practices including required training. These should detail the correct procedures for tasks to minimize risk

Create a comprehensive emergency response plan. This should include evacuation procedures, communication protocols, and coordination with emergency services. Conduct regular drills to test the plan’s effectiveness

Stay up-to-date with all relevant regulations; local, state, and federal laws
