Contract Training Captain ($45 - $199 an hour)

Salary Range: $45 - $199 an hour.
Working as a contract training captain, the contractor will meet with the assigned student(s) at the designated time and location. Contractor will instruct the provided NSBC curriculum, as required by NASBLA and NSBC. Contractor will train, evaluate, and grade the student(s) boat handling skills and abilities. Contractors are also expected to actively engage in business development with dealerships, manufactures, marinas, harbors, maritime clubs, etc.
Qualifications:
- Maintain a valid USCG Captains License if teaching in the Ocean
- Have 100-ton USCG license to operate yachts (27 - 100+')
- Have 10+ years of experience if teaching on a lake
- National Safe Boating Council Instructor Certification (We will train)
- Have Interest in Teaching
- Be patient and good with Kids
- Experience with training for boat clubs is a huge plus!

Compensation:
Hourly contractor pay is based on experience, but here are the typical rates:
- Club Training: starting at $45/hr. for boat & yacht clubs.
- Safer Boater Training: starting at $75/hr. for dealers and manufacturers
- BSGL Delivery: $90/hr.
- BSC Charter: starting at $150/hr.*
- BSGL Private: $199/hr.*
