Talent Attraction Fund Grant Opportunity for Port Huron Businesses

Qualifying Grant Categories (25% match required on all funding)
First-Come, First-Serve Grant
Must have physical location in the City of Port Huron
- Advertising / Marketing of Job Openings such as: Billboards, Digital Ads, Social Media Boosts, Blue Water Bus Advertising, Radio (up to $1,000)
- Employee Referral Bonus Program – Covers expenses of employee bonuses intended to reward existing employees for talent attraction efforts & help increase successful onboarding and new hire retention.
- New Hire Hiring Bonus – Covers expenses up to $1,000 for new hire bonuses in any size increment decided upon by the business ($100, $250, $500 – etc.)
- Hiring Incentives – up to $1,000 for the purchase of bus passes, gift cards or gas gift cards to give as new hire incentives.
Companies can request funding for one or more categories up to $2,000. A total of $40,000 is allocated to the Talent Attraction Grant fund. The grant will close when all funding is allocated. Expense receipts, a W-9 and brief recap of the use of funds will be required from grant awardees.
