BTM Company is seeking a Senior Electrician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for building, wiring, and supporting electrical systems used in industrial automation equipment.

This is an opportunity for an experienced electrician to work on complex machinery, support system integration, and play a key role in mentoring and developing others on the team

Position Overview

The Senior Electrician assembles, wires, and supports electrical systems for custom automation equipment. This role works closely with engineering and build teams to ensure systems are installed, tested, and functioning properly, including support during machine commissioning and installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, layout, and wire electrical panels to schematics
  • Mount and wire electrical components on machinery
  • Ensure all components are properly tagged to job specifications
  • Follow standard electrical practices and safety procedures
  • Record and communicate any changes to prints
  • Collaborate with build, controls engineering, and mechanical engineering to debug and commission machinery
  • Assist with machine preparation for shipment (disassembly, labeling, etc.)
  • Support on-site installation and service work as required
  • Lead and mentor apprentices and junior electricians
  • Follow all company quality (QMS) and safety requirements

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of industrial electrician experience (automation experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and fluid drawings
  • Experience with electrical components, panel wiring, and machine wiring
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Hi-lo certification preferred (training available)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or apprenticeship in a related field preferred
