Job Summary: This in-person teaching assignment may include a full range of undergraduate courses within the Engineering Technology discipline about a variety of Advanced Manufacturing concepts. The courses will include both lectures and hands on labs. Concepts include electronics, electrical power control, industrial electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, programmable logic controls, and robotic welding.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, and/or online courses.
- Maintaining scheduled office hours, advising students, developing curriculum, participating in college service, and professional development activities.
- Leadership in developing and improving our academic courses.
- Community service is encouraged.
Supervision Received: Reports to the Chief Academic Officer/Senior Vice President.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or higher required in Engineering or a related Engineering field.
- 4,000 hours of work experience in mechanical engineering, engineering design, industrial technology, and/or the advanced manufacturing field.
- All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Teaching experience at the community college level.
- Experience and/or interest in using multimedia/new instructional technology in the classroom.
- Experience with various 3D CAD software applications.
- Experience with programming and operating CNC machinery and related software.
- Understanding various types of welding and fabrication processes.
- Understanding of electronics and related equipment.
- Understanding of mechatronic and robotic equipment.
- Experience and interest in utilizing Learning Management Systems for course enhancement or delivery.
