Attention career seekers! The SERVPRO® of Port Huron Contents Department is looking for Water & Fire Contents Restoration Technicians to join our team!
As a Water & Fire Contents Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for inventorying and packing contents affected by water, mold or fire damage. You will have the opportunity to work with our customers during a difficult time in their lives. You will be working alongside our restoration team to ensure that all items are safely and effectively restored to their pre-loss condition.
Your duties will include:
- Conducting a thorough inventory of all contents affected by the loss.
- Packing and labeling contents in a safe and efficient manner.
- Cleaning and restoring contents using specialized equipment, software, and techniques.
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all work performed.
- The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Empathy and compassion for the situations that our customers are experiencing.
- Experience in the restoration industry preferred but not necessary.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
Position Requirements:
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must have basic math skills.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces, attics).
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
- Willingness to work with cleaning products and chemicals.
- Being On an After Hour Call Rotation
- Occasional Travel Offered with Per diem
Job Type: Full-time
$17-$25 per hour with Overtime Available
