SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Bachelor's degree in social sciences and/or three years experience working with the developmentally disabled and/or mentally ill or Bachelor's degree in social sciences and one year experience working with the developmentally disabled and/or mentally ill preferred.

Physical health compatible with the demands of the job and completion of a pre-employment medical exam, communicable disease screening and drug screening.

Two employment and/or character references.

Preferred qualifications for position: Lived experience with behavioral health issues.

Valid drivers license with appropriate driving record suitable for our insurance coverage.

RESPONSIBILITY TO RESIDENTS AND STAFF

Records treatment plans used in the residential care.

Collects and maintains daily logs of resident’s behavior, re-designing and updating those charts when necessary.

Ensure plan is carried out by staff.

Attends case meetings in the development and updating of treatment plans, and ensure staff will be present at those meetings.

Conducts staff meetings to discuss and formulate house plans.

SUPERVISE STAFF

Arranges weekly staff schedules.

Evaluates all staff at appropriate intervals of 90 days, 1 year and every year after.

Conducts staff meetings.

Provides and coordinates in-service training to all staff. Formulates in-service plans in conjunction with evaluation of employees. Maintains a record of all in services attended.

Ensure staff carry out daily routine.

Monitors staff behavior.

Ensure that residents receive proper care at all times.

IN-HOME DUTIES

Read client daily logs as often as possible. Sign your name, date, and position when read. Make sure aides have signed their name, position, date, shift and have logged appropriately.

Read all daily logs prior to the day of the case meetings. Prepare any notes needed.

Prepare all case staffing forms prior to the day of the case meeting.

Monitor daily all medical (medication) sheets to insure that staff has signed for the appropriate medications passed, and that there are no omissions, error’s, etc.

Make all doctor appointments when needed.

Monitor your staff logs.

Performs all Direct Care duties as needed.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

Hold one staff/clinical meeting per month/or quarterly depending on need.

Know your hour expectations for each pay period.

Ensure full time staff do not go over 40 hours per week and part time staff do not exceed 24 hours per week.

Monitor staff sick days and vacation days.
