Salary Range: In addition to our standard benefits package, the estimated base salary for this role will range from $65,000 - $82,000, depending on experience.
The Business Services Analyst is responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to: developing business reporting, performing analytical reviews, maintaining departmental budgets, and providing data analysis to internal and external departments to support operational objectives.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental planning and the monthly reporting process by collecting and monitoring actual performance data against prepared forecasts.
- Participate in the preparation of external reports submitted to the MPSC as well as other governmental agencies.
- Perform data analysis to support financial and operational objectives throughout the Company. Analytical requirements include, but are not limited to, conducting trend analyses, data validation, and identifying solutions to business process gaps.
- Develop reporting using Cognos Analytics tools including SQL to meet the needs of the Company.
- Support and maintain analytical tools and databases for tracking and reporting metrics to various departments.
- Manage departmental and Company projects within time and budget guidelines, including conducting research, preparation of and presenting materials, developing recommendations, project implementation, monitoring and revising as necessary.
- Adhere to company internal control procedures and business processes to ensure SOX compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field to uphold responsibilities as subject matter expert.
