Job Summary:
The assembly supervisor leads a team in a manufacturing environment, ensuring smooth production, quality standards, and safety protocols while monitoring production levels, troubleshooting issues, and training/motivating team members.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with Material Handling for operators/inventory
- Production based on daily need
- Perform changes and job sets ups throughout shift
- Troubleshoot minor maintenance issues
- Every Monday, pull OEE numbers from PLEX and put them into KPI sheet in F drive
- Perform inventory adjustments - keep inventory JIT
- Creates work instructions and upload them into PLEX
- Monitor, verify and approve associate (time and attendance) hours daily
- Check capacity planning module in Plex (welding by lot and job)
- Review dispatch daily/hourly
- Review operator OEE/create report (weekly)
- Creation of work instructions
- KANBAN System
- Assign associate to daily jobs
- Set operator up with materials
- Finished goods and new materials based on need
- Load job into Plex (setup instructions, etc.)
- Review Setup information for changes or updates (i.e. continuous improvement)
- Remove current job/old assembly aid - install new one (setup/drive purge)
- Operators check control/equipment, perform inspection
- Review Daily Shift Report and communicate to the team
- Assist weld tech on tip changes and basic troubleshooting needs
- Perform quality checks and set frequency on every job
- Demonstrate control of non-conforming products
- Review quality alerts (if available)
- Demonstrates containment and escalation process
- Demonstrate proper use of measuring tools
- Keep the Communication Board up to date
- Check part sensors, complete Red Rabbit and supervisor approvals in PLEX before operator runs job (every shift)
- Produces only what is demanded per customer's scheduled releases
- Lift truck operation

- Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Uses ERP (plex) to monitor adjust and approve time clock records and manage time off management.
- Holds people accountable and handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
