Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanical Contractor Project Manager/Estimator to lead and coordinate complex mechanical construction projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in construction estimating, project management, and site supervision to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Your ability to read blueprints, manage contracts, and utilize construction management software will be essential in driving project success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse mechanical systems, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to high-quality construction outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate and comprehensive construction estimates using Trimble Mechanical Estimating Software.
  • Prepare detailed project proposals, budgets, and schedules by analyzing schematics, blueprints, and contract documents.
  • Lead project planning sessions to establish scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage all aspects of project execution including procurement, subcontractor coordination, and on-site supervision of mechanical installations.
  • Utilize project management software like ProCore and AutoDesk Build for scheduling, tracking progress, and maintaining documentation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation of mechanical systems.
  • Oversee contract administration by reviewing agreements, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate seamless communication and project alignment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Maintain meticulous records of project activities including change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), daily logs, and progress reports.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating with proficiency in Trimble Mechanical Estimating or similar software.
  • Strong background in construction management or project management within the mechanical contracting industry.
  • Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics (including Mechanical, HVAC, and Plumbing systems), and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, AutoDesk Build, and other relevant tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines through effective time management.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication skills for clear project coordination among diverse teams including office and field personal.
  • On-site experience in educational, healthcare, industrial and commercial mechanical construction is a must.
